Does the 'bot' keep complaining your blog post has too many ‘passive sentences’?

Here’s what that smarty pants is talking about…
Sentences can be ACTIVE or PASSIVE.
------------------------------------------
In an ACTIVE SENTENCE, the subject of the sentence performs an action.
Example: James Architects has designed over a hundred zero-carbon homes.
In a PASSIVE SENTENCE, something is done TO the subject of the sentence.
Example: Over a hundred zero-carbon homes have been designed by James Architects.
------------------------------------------
🤷♂️ So why should you use mostly active sentences when you write content for your business?
✔ It shows confidence and makes you sound in control
✔ It produces shorter more direct sentences
✔ It’s easier and clearer for your reader to understand
✔ It attributes your good work directly to you
🔎 And how can you spot those slippery passive sentences?...
…Look out for a ‘by’ phrase at the end of your sentence.
Rewrite it so the subject in the ‘by’ phrase comes at the start.
Example: (Passive) The award-winning project was led by our team.
(Active) Our team led the award-winning project.
Good luck taking on the bot! And if you ever need keyboard back-up, get in touch!
